Popoyo Land Dispute

On the beachfront property of Playa Sardina, in front of the world-famous surf spot Popoyo, a dispute is taking place between the historical and present owners of the land, the indigenous community of Las Salinas de Nahualapa, and the US citizen Philip Christopher and La Flor de Mayo, SA. La Flor de Mayo's project Finca Popoyo is being built on communally held indigenous land, showing complete disregard for the laws of Nicaragua.

The beachfront property overlooking Popoyo break legally belongs to the indigenous community of Las Salinas de Nahualapa and in this blog we want to present their side of the story.
